Good denture care is essential; but the survey showed that almost all families with a higher income saw a dentist regularly, whereas only a low percentage of low income families had seen a dentist within the last two years.

The recent survey showed that 20% of people in lower income families needed dentures, and only four percent of higher paid families had dentures.
Many people are now making dentures at home, just to avoid high dental charges.
People who cannot afford a good dental insurance plan often repair dentures rather than getting replacements.
It is not just adults who are suffering because they can’t afford dental treatment, their children are also suffering. They are not getting regular checkups which can prevent more serious problems from occurring.
Whilst higher income seniors take advantage of the latest products, such as flexible dentures or implanted dentures fitted in a day, low income seniors are struggling to fund even the cheapest dentures.
DIY denture kits are now on sale, which cuts down the cost of false teeth, but not many people know about other help available to them.
In parts of America organizations are offering free dental treatment to low income families. This is allowing them to get the denture care they need.
